Aim high, fly higher
Raidō aeronautics is the first aeronautic student society at the university of Edinburgh. Our members come from a wide range of academic backgrounds and ethnicity. Despite our differences, we are united by our passion for aviation and aerospace.
We compete in the yearly iMechE UAS Challenge, building a 10kg unmanned aerial vehicle and its supporting systems to carry out a humanitarian mission. Through competing in the UAS Challenge, we obtain valuable hands-on experience in a realistic scenario and inspire the next generation of aerospace engineers.
The vision for Raidō Aeronautics is to become the premier gateway to the aerospace industry for passionate students in Scotland
Our mission is to create the opportunity for students at the University of Edinburgh to get hands on aeronautical engineering experience through competing in the iMechE UAS Challenge.
Raidō aeronautics only exists because of our passion for aerospace and dedication of our student engineers to learn and push boundaries. Therefore, we are committed to create the best learning experience, including hands-on engineering and industrial experience.
